Summary
On observe la "bande sombre d'Alexandre" entre les deux arcs (qui aurait été décrite par Alexandre d'Aphrodite) English: The two rainbow circles are seen in the morning light (towards West, the sun being at East) above Le Reposoir (village in the French Alps) and above the "massif du Bargy". The primary rainbow seems to start at the "Col de la Colombiere". The dark area of unlit sky lying between the primary and secondary bows is called Alexander's band, after Alexander of Aphrodisias who first described it (Wikipedia / Rainbow). |
