COSMOPOLITAN CLUB T~HE Cosmopolitan Club is an organization of foreign and American students bandedtogether to promote cosmopolitan and international interests among the representativesof foreign nations enrolled in the University. The Club holds a charter from the International Cosmopolitan Society. Its aim is summed up in the motto of the organization,Above all nations is Humanity. There are seven nationalities represented in the mem-bership: Chinese, Chilean, Hawaiian, Philippine, Russian, Spanish and American. Themembership of the Club numbers this year about thirty-five, less than one half of whomare American. Regular meetings are held once a month, and special meetings are held from timeto time at which programs are presented by the members. Swain, Johnson, Miller, Whitted, Howard, Griffith. SPANISH CLUB T-HE Spanish Club serves as the official social organization of the advanced studentsand the faculty members of the Spanish department. The organization is both culturaland social in nature, and has as its purpose the creation of greater interest in South Ameri-can problems. The programs arranged by students and members of the faculty arelargely devoted to the cultivation of a greater knowledge in Spanish and South American countries. General discussion by all the members supplements the regular Clubprograms. Meetings are held on alternate Thursdays at organization houses. A feature ofthe work this year has been the presentation of several one-act Spanish plays
