View of Longfellow House's garden looking west from beneath arbor on east boundary. C1904-C1910. N. L. Stebbins (1884-1908). Arbor erected 1904 by Martha Brookes Hutcheson,and removed 1932/34). Cultural Landscape Report, pg. 63. Visible are: the Byfield pediment, trellis, billiard room, the 2nd story veranda, and the bench around the Carmine Crab tree. The Byfield pediment, and trellis were added in 1904 by Hutcheson. The Billiard room was added in 1858-and removed in 1904. The 2nd story veranda was added in 1910. Embossed lower right emulsion side, "N. L. STEBBINS, PHOTO./BOSTON, MASS. Inscribed in pencil, in cursive, lower right verso, "Acc #39/Cat. #6148."
