Nome Cientifico: Ara ararauna Nome Inglês: Blue-and-yellow Macaw. Psitacídeo cujas cores predominantes são o azul e o amarelo, não possui dimorfismo sexual, alimenta-se basicamente de sementes, nozes e frutas. Há registros dessa ave em quase todo território nacional, algumas localidades pontuais no Panamá e Colômbia, Venezuela, Guianas, Perú, Bolivia, locais pontuais da Argentina e Paraguai e no oeste do Equador.
