English: Arable land near Aston-on-Trent, Derbyshire The flat alluvial plain of the River Trent affords rich soil as well as large resources of gravel. There are large working gravel pits as well as flooded former pits behind the camera. The track across the fields is from Aston Lock on the Trent and Mersey Canal and leads to the village. It is not a public right of way. |
