| Description |
English: Arable land near Aldsworth View looks south-west from a point just beyond the old perimeter track of the former RAF Windrush. The strange brick building in the middle of this field of spring cereals is a relic of the old airfield that came into service in the early summer of 1940. Built for training purposes records show that it was bombed by the Luftwaffe several times during the Battle of Britain. |
