Summary
[edit]DescriptionAqueduct over Trent and Mersey Canal main line - geograph.org.uk - 601044.jpg |
English: Aqueduct over Trent and Mersey Canal main line. The junction between the Macclesfield and the Tent and Mersey Canals was a complicated affair. The section south of Hall Green Stop Lock was ownd by the T&M, and was referred to by them as the 'Hall Green branch'. To join the main line, it first crossed the latter by means of the aqueduct shown here, then, running parallel to the main line (but on a higher level), it made a physical junction above Red Bull top lock. |
