However, it is a good substitute, the leaves measuring four feet to five feet across, lying perfectly flat upon the wa- ter. We will now discuss the smaller varie- ties, which are grown for their orna- mental flowers. There are two main groups to the genus, nocturnal and diur- nal, or night-blooming and day-blooming.
