| Description |
English: Approaching Murdo's at Lubachlaggan Lubachlaggan was the home of Donald MacLennan. A deeply religious man who reared a family of 18, he was one of the last to live in GlenBeg to the North. In August 1919 Donald took ill and his whole gfamily were affected. Within the space of a few days two of his boys had died. The illness was a mystery and most people thought the water from the well was the source. In 1926 Donald left Lubachlaggan and moved to Strathdirrie. Murdo Macpherson then took on Lubachlaggan and stayed there until 1950. He was there so long the place is still known as 'Murdo's' |
