Summary
[edit]DescriptionApproaching Loch Skerrow Halt (geograph 6376250).jpg |
English: Approaching Loch Skerrow Halt There was a station up here with no other means of communication short of a bog trot. The reason was that Loch Skerrow was a handy source of water for the locomotives at the top of a long climb and a passing loop was also required. After the line closed the buildings fell in to disrepair and were eventually blown up as an training exercise by the Army (like the Little Loch Fleet viaduct). The railway was a means of access for fishing Loch Skerrow. |
