Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Approaching the island of Appletree Eyot. The bank on the left is in that part of Tilehurst that is within the Borough of Reading in the English county of Berkshire. The island is in Oxfordshire, as is the (unseen) opposite bank. The islands in the Thames in this area are usually called "island" rather than the word "Eyot" which is more common towards London. This is the exception. The navigation is either side of the island. The railway is close to the river on the left at this point.
