| Description |
English: Approaching Alrewas Lock, Staffordshire. Narrowboat "Gabbit" steers between "Thistle" and "Ivy May" at around 2mph on its way to the lock. Alrewas lock lowers the level of the Trent and Mersey Canal to that of the River Trent. The canal uses the river course for the following three hundred metres or so before continuing on its own way to the north of the river. |
