English: 27 September 2013. Haringey information sign "framed" by a pile of dumped rubbish and River Park House - the main office building of this failing Borough Council.
As I was taking this photo I realised that someone was standing nearby, also photographing the same rubbish on her mobile phone. We chatted and Lina (see below) explained that she was the owner of a new Coffee Republic at the corner of High Road Wood Green and Gladstone Avenue. (Photo below). Over a cup of coffee, Lina told me she'd been battling to get Veolia - Haringey Council's waste contractors - to raise their standard of street cleaning.
