Description
English: A photograph of the Triaxial Fluxgate magnetometer that was part of the Apollo 12, 15 and 16 missions. The Apollo 16 mission utilized the newer coil-ring magnetometers. The thin cable in back runs to the central station of the ALSEP. The magnetometer continued to communicate information after the departure of the ascent portion of the lunar module.
