Na začátku nacistické okupace patřil k hlavním organizátorům domácího nekomunistického odboje: spolupracoval zejména s ilegálním Politickým ústředím (PÚ) a vojenskou Obranou národa (ON).
English: Antonín Pešl (* 1891 – † 1942) was a Czech journalist and columnist. During the First World War he was one of the founders of the Czechoslovak legions in Italy. At the beginning of the Nazi occupation he was one of the main organizers of the domestic anti-german resistance. Pešl cooperated with the illegal Political Headquarters (PÚ) and with the military defense of the Nation (ON). Besides Vaclav König was Pešl described as a close associate (from journalistic circles) of Lieutenant Colonel Josef Balában. Josef Balabán was one of the Three Kings (Balabán, Mašín. Morávek). In 1940 was Antonin Pešl involved as a founder and leading member of the resistance organization ÚVOD. For his actions against Nazi Germany Pešl paid the highest price. (He was executed.) |
