Description |
English: Portrait of Archduchess Hermine of Austria (1817-1842), daughter of Archduke Joseph, Palatine of Hungary "We are certain that our signed version was in the early 1840s the one used for production of numerous lithographs by Viennese lithographers Johann Stadler and Friedrich Johann Gottlieb Lieder. In contrary, the larger version of the same painting was clearly painted as a sequel: it must have been commissioned by one of Hermine's royal relatives." [1] |
