Description

Statue d'Antinoüs Antinoüs est mort en 130, noyé dans le Nil, fou de chagrin, l'empereur Hadrien l'a déifié et a diffusé de multiples statues de son favori à travers l'Empire. Ici il est représenté sous les traits d'Apollon.

130-138 après J.-C. marbre Trouvé en 1933 dans les fouilles au moment du percement de la voie des forums impériaux à Rome (projet de Mussolini)


Le centre d'exposition des musées du Capitole dans l'ancienne centrale thermoélectrique Giovanni Montemartini à Rome est un exemple étonnant d'un site industriel transformé en musée. Il a ouvert en 1997 avec l'installation de centaines de sculptures antiques. Cette centrale électrique, mise en fonctionnement au début des années 1900, a été la première à Rome.
