English: Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force LTC Ivor Walker, left, talks with Tradewinds 2002 Co-Director LTC Paul Lombardi, US Army South, right and MAJ Tony Arciero, US Southern Command, center, at the Joint Task Force Headquarters at Camp Blizard in Antigua. Tradewinds 02, held in Antigua-Barbuda on 6-26 April 2002, is a multi-phased, joint field training exercise that provides participating nations an opportunity to assemble a multinational force to promote interoperability, improve collective readiness, enhance regional engagement, and foster professional relationships on a regional basis. The exercise focuses on maritime and ground operations and includes participants from 13 nations, including Antigua-Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominican Republic, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and The Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago. US Coast Guard Commander Atlantic Area (USCGCOMLANTAREA) is the executive agent for the Maritime Phase, and US Army South (USARSO) is the executive agent for the Ground Phase. |
