Summary

[edit]
Description
English: I was informed this object in the garden represents the river god Kestros holding a cornucopia and reeds. He leans on an urn pouring water. The relief comes from the theater, at the very top of the third level of the stage building and in the center. It was a counterpart to another almost identical river god. Both formed an architectural motif called the Syrian pediment. Datation : between 220 and 240 AD.
