English: Sculptural work from the cenotaph ( a monument for someone who died but is not buried at the spot of the cenotaph) of Gaius Caesar, grandson and adopted child of Emperor Augustus. He died in Limyra in 4 AD after having been wounded during a battle in Armenia. He was buried in Rome in the mausoleum of Augustus, the Limyrans erected a cenotaph.
