Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Reconstructed interior of the main room in the private part of a large Ottoman house,

where only family members and female visitors were tolerated. Second half of the 19th century. All the objects are from the Antalya region. The dress of the lady is called ‘bindallı entari’, and is adorned with gold thread embroidery (handmade, of course) on satin. ‘Bindallı entari’ means: ‘robe with thousand branches’, because the decorative motifs on the robe consist mainly of branches with leaves and flowers.
