Ansate brooch
Description
English: Copper alloy brooch, ansate (caterpillar) type. Missing catchplate, spring, pin and lug; bent and corroded. Two c. 5mm square areas with iron corrosion around them are probably the spots where the catchplate and pin lug(s) were attached. The brooch is a 9mm by 32mm strip, 1mm thick, with a small centre hump. The top face is covered in punched dot and circle motifs, 3mm in diam.
