English: Das Portrait Maria Theresias lehnt sich eng an die von der Hand Martin von Meytens (1695-1770) geschaffenen Bildnisse an. Hier dienten wohl zwei Staatsportraits zur Vorlage. Zum Einen das Gemälde der Erzherzogin, das heute im Deutschen Historischen Museum, Berlin aufbewahrt wird, mit der offeneren Körpersprache der Darstellten, zum Anderen das in der Akademie der Bildenen Künste in Wien bewahrte Werk, in dem Maria Theresia eine Hand auf das Zepter vor den Kronen Österreichs und Ungarns stützt.
