Description |
21x26 original oil. Called at first, "Listening Figures," this work was exhibited in Chicago by psychic artist Frances Haines McVey. Later, she decided to slant an arm differently for the sake of composition. At this point, an automatic influence took charge, repainting the figures and adding the lettering of the frame directly, without layout in pencil. The face in the tree is thought to be Joseph. Donated by the artist in memory of her Grandmother, Mrs. E. H. Byers. |
