Title
annularbuckle
Description
English: A cast copper alloy ring with one portion of the outer edge flattened. Sub-oval in section and circular in plan. Filing marks can be seen around the frame showing where the object was filed to removed casting imperfections. Although rings of a similar form have been used over a broad period as suspension loops and chain components, the manufacture method and form of this particular ring makes an identificaton as a Medieval annular buckle likely.
