Annular buckle pin of medieval date
Description
English: An incomplete Medieval cast copper alloy annular brooch pin, probably from the 14th century. It has an incomplete loop that tapers towards the end, where there is an old break. Outside and below the loop is a rectangular moulded collar. The shaft tapers slightly towards the end; on the underside of the tip, there is a small worn area that may be the notch. The pin is subrectangular in plan. It has a dark green patina.

The pin is 46.45mm in length, 7.15mm in width, 4.75mm thick and weighs 4.1grams.

A similar brooch pin can be seen on the database SUSS-1E8091 and KENT-7A8BC3.
