Title |
Annular brooch or ring brooch |
||
Description |
English: Cast copper alloy annular brooch or ring brooch dating from the medieval period, that is the 14th-15th century AD. The brooch is circular in shape with an oval cross-section. It appears plain with no pin rest or recess for the pin. The original pin is probably missing - lost in the medieval period - and another, thinner wire pin was attached. The pin is undecorated, too, and slightly bent. IT would have been less efficient than the original pin due to its size. |
