been found that Gourdseed, Hastings Prolific, Mosbys Prolific,Brakes, Harris Improved, Williams, Osborne, Horsetooth, HoltsStrawberry, Sanders Improved, Fredonias Pride, Lathams Improved,Weekleys Improved, Marlboro Prolific, Henry Grady, Bagleys Im-proved, Clecklers Improved, Coopers Improved, Jarvis Improved, FrysImproved and Sharbers, in about the order named, are some of the lat-est maturing varieties tested during the past four or five years. These 10 N. C. AGRICULTURAL EXPERIMENT STATION. varieties are vigorous growers and generally produce large, tall stalks,and many of them have evidently been bred to produce one large earper stalk. In this climate they will mature usually in one hundred andtwenty to one hundred and thirty-five days. VARIETIES ADAPTED TO EASTERN OR COASTAL SECTION.
