29 Regulations Concerning Admission andRetention of Pupils, Etc. ttt^^——~ Schools For Deaf and Blind The Montana School for the Deaf and the BHnd is open to ailthe deaf and the blind children of the state, between the ages of 6and 21 who are too deaf or too blind to be education in the com-mon schools. No child who is idiotic, or afflicted with an offensive or conta-gious disease, or who is an invalid so confirmed as to preventstudy will be received. The institution is in no sense an asylum, nor a place or refugefor those who cannot see or hear. It is not an almshouse, anorphans home or a hospital. It is conducted strictly as an educa-tional institution, and is a part of the common school system ofthe state wherein whose who are deaf or blind may receive aneducation as a matter of right and not of charity. Application for the admission of pupils must be made uponregular blanks of the institution which will be furnished uponrequest. All questions upon these blanks must be answered
