THE EARLY VICTOR. . jii;o^The Early Victor Grape colors very early, fully two weeks ahead of Concord, and isTfit^tor i: ner about ten days before, along with Hartford and Moores Early. The early Victor was originated by John Burr, of Leavenworth, Kansas, in 1870, A seed-ling of the Delaware.

uicy, The Early Victor Grape. Vme—Very vigorous, very productive and healthy. Bunch—4 inches long by 3; broad, shouldered and very compact. Berry—Medium, round, black, with thick blue bloom, adheres well, upulp* tender,sweet and agreeable ; seeds, two. c.^-V Season—August 25th (1899), and since it ripens so early is worthy of trial in northernsections. Quality —Very good for dessert. Value—Good for home market ; also very good for making claret wine. FEUIT EXPERIMENT STATIONS. BOARD MEETIISGS. The Board of Control met at the Railway Committee Rooms, Parliament Buildings, Toronto,on the 6tli of March, 1900, when a resolution was passed urging that experiments be continuedin the export of Canadian Ro^^ers grapes. It was further resolved to purchase such stock asvvas necessary to fully restock the stations in room of all vacancies. It was estimated that$2,600 would be required for our work during the year 1900. On the 3rd of July, a meeting was held at the ofhce of the Secret
