Giant Pera—A variety remarkable for its great size, often attaining a length of 18 ins. and 10 ins. in cir- cumference. Notwithstanding this immense size, their quality is ex- cellent. They are fit to eat at all stages of their growth, even when full grown, and are free from the green cucumber taste. Superior for slicing. Pkt. 5c, oz. 10c, 34 lb. 30c. Gherkins—Very small and prickly fruit, used expressly for pickling. Pkt, 5c, oz. 20c. Parisian Prolific Pickling-—A great acquisition. Very long, slender, cylindrical, densely coVered with fine prickles, and deep, rich green in color. The flesh is very crisp and tender. One of the best for slicing, as well as for pickles. Enormously productive. Pkt. 5c, oz. 15c. Nichols' Medium Green—Very thick through, full at both ends, handsome in appearance, and of fine quality. The vines are vi- gorous in growth, and very pro- ductive. Westerfleld's Chicago Pickling- Fruit medium length, pointed at each end, with very large and prominent spines; color deep green. Largely grown for factories. Extra early and very productive. Green Prolific ©r Boston Pick- ling—A very prolific variety; thriving in any locality. With good culture 200,000 can be raised on an acre. Evergreen—One of the handsom- est and most valuable. .The fruit re- mains a long time in prime condi- tion. It is also an everbearing sort and wonderfully prolific. Improved Early White Spine—Vines vigorous, fruiting early and abundantly; fruit straight and handsome, light green with a few white spines. Early Erame—A well known early sort. Vigorous growth, productive and fine quality. Early Green Cluster—A short, prickly variety, bearing in clusters near the root. It is a great bearer and matures early. Improved Eong Green—Forms fruit for the table nearly as early as the shorter sort. Grows 12 inches long, firm and crisp, with very few seeds. The young fruit makes the best of pickles. Arlington White Spine—The young fruits are unusually crisp and tender, and are of a very dark green color, so that the variety'is con- sidered by many to be the best for small pickles. Snake—This cucumber grows some- times to the length of 6 ft., curled up like a snake. Pkt. 10c. New Everbearing—Of small size, very early, enormously productive and valuable'as a green pickler. Vines ex- hibit at the same time cucumbers in every stage of growth, the small ones being perfect in shape, of a fine green color and just the size for pickling. Jersey Pickling—Certainly one of the finest pickling cucumbers in the market. Early and a great bearer, well formed, firm and crisp. Early Russian—The earli- est of all: small size.
