In this new 1900 introduction, I offer my custom- ers what I consider the earliest, grandest, sweetest, most perfect general purpose ^ ^ Sweet Corn for the market-gardener or farmer now offered, not excepting a single kind. It has a good-sized ear for such an Extra Early. Good roasting ears can be had in 5 to 6 weeks from planting. Market gardeners can make 1200 an acre, selling green corn of Hammond's Ear- liest. I want an appropriate name for this new corn, and hence offer $100 cash to the person sending me the most appropriate name. Do not send names until you have tried the corn. The prize will be paid November 1st, next. $25 for best ear. My dear friends, I am so sure this great marvelous corn will please you. I can not too strongly urge you to give it a trial. My Srices are dirt cheap for such a rare novelty, o other seedsman has a kernel of it. Pkt. 10 cts., pt. 25 cts., qt. 40 cts., post-paid. By ex- press, or freight, Pt. 20 cts., qt. 30 cts., V2 pk. 60 cts., pk. 11.00. FIRST OP ALL. The First of All is ready for the table from three days to a week earlier than the Cory, making it very desirable not only for family gardens, but extremely valuable to grow for market, where the earliest Corn al- ways brings by far the highest prices. Ears of medium size, well-filled with grains. It is rather dwarf er than the Cory, although similar in appearance bu+superior in quality. MAMMOTH WHITE CORY. The ears are fully twice the size of the old Cory, white cobbed, and covered with very large, white grains of good quality. The gardener who wishes to get the cream of the trade should make his plant- ings of this splendid novelty. Extra-early. KENDAL'S EARLY QIANT. A novelty of great merit. Pkts., pts., and qts., same as above. Pk. 70 cts. EARLY MINNESOTA. A well known early dwarf va^ riety; ears fine size, and excellent quality. HAMMOND'S IMPROVED STOWELL'S EVER- GREEN. This famous Sweet Corn, as now im- proved, is the best for main crop. This grand old variety, introduced many years ago, has had many competitors for first place as the standard main crop Sweet Corn For table use the quality of the ImproTcd Stowell's Evergreen Sweet Corn can not be excelled; it is very tender, sugary, and remains a long time in condition suitable for cooking. Coming into market at a time when the main crops are being sold, these are very im- portant conditions. My improved strain is without excep- tion the finest offered the American planter to-day. To in- troduce it evervwhere I have made above prices very low. HAMMOND'S "MAMMOTH SUGAR. This variety produces the largest ears of any sort, a single ear '5vOT sometimes weighing 2 or 3 pounds. It is of excellent .//)& quality, sweet, tender, and delicious, and its only ""Vy fault (if this can be considered one) is the immense size of the ears. ZIGZAG EVERGREEN. This is a new Sweet Corn and about eight days ahead of Stowell's Evergreen; has very large kernels, resembling that variety, and grows on the cob zigzag fashion, as the illustration shows. It always produces two perfect ears on every stalk of such hand- some appearance as readily to command a high price COUNTRy'^GENTLEMAN or IMPROVED NE PLUS ULTRA. The deep shoe-peg kernels are placed irreg- ularly upon the cob. It is very prolific, generally bear- ing 3 to 5 ears to the stalk; s'-^eet and sugary. SWEET CORN FOR FODDER. Much sweeter than field Corn; makes finer fodder, produces a stronger flow and richer milk. Stock eat it clean, stalk and blades. Peck 30 cts., bu. $1, 3 bu. or more at 90 cts. per bu. A present free to all. j $100 for best list of names. i A trip for you to Paris Exposition. ; Premium for empty seed packets. % Great, Bargain Seed and Plant Collections. i See Insert enclosed in catalogue for above offers.
