ONIONS. (3tuiebel.) Sow the seed early in April, o< as soon as the ground can b worked. One ounce will sow lo feet of drill. Four pounds to the acre, drills fourteen inches apart. Cover % of an inch. Commence hoeing as sooil as the fine, grass- like stems can be seen. Simply skim over the surface and avoid stirring deeply, rather work the soil away froih the bulbs. Keep free from weeds. When the tops become dry and dead, pull and spread over the ground for a few days until fully dried. Cut tops half an inch from bulb.
