Market price. —White Cap Yellow Dent new^. In- troduced last season, claimed to be 10 days earlier than the Learning; and on poor thin soil, to out-yield that variety by 25 per cent. The tip end of the grains is white and the inside yellow, which combination gives it a most beautiful appearance. Expert corn growers pro- nounce it a perfect field corn, because : It will yield large crops on poor soil. It is sure to mature in from 85 to 95 days. It husks easy and shells easy. It will grow more bushels on poor thin soil than any other variety. It stood the drouth better than 60 other varieties grown in the same county. It has a small cob and a large num- ber of rows on the cob, consequently a gnat yielder. It grows its fodder strong and rank, from 7 to 10 feet high. It combines genuine merit for all soils and climates. Per bu. $1.25. OATS—Gray Winter. Sown like wheat, in the fall.
