PARSNIP—The Palo Alto LILLY'S SELECT STOCK Smooth, Fine-Grained, Tender This is the third year since this parsnip was secured from Portugal, and it is meeting with marked suc- cess., being already an established favorite with all our customers. The flesh is white and of fine texture, free from stringiness, superior flavored and tender. It cooks up sweet and rich, making a delicious vegetable for win- ter use. The roots are smooth, heavy at shoulder, well rounded and tapering, as you can see by the accompany- ing cut, and may be termed half long. We have not yet met with anything that equals it, for it. will stand longer without getting tough and woody than any other variety. Sold only in sealed packages, 1 oz. 10 cents; y± lb. 15 cent/: 1 lb. 40 cents, postpaid. Radishes—Giant Crimsom A Grand Early Large Crop Variety Crimson Giant is radically different from and a great im- provement over all the radishes previously on the marker. It is as early as any and has the great advantage of retain- ing its firmness and crispness for a long period after at- taining its maturity. It grows to twice the size of any other turnip-rooted radish, and, unlike other varieties, the larger it gets the better it seems to be. It varies some- what in size, shape and color, but can always be depended upon for being deliciously crisp, tender and solid. For the past two years we have grown this variety at our trial ground at Brighton Beach, and every one who has tried it expresses unbounded satisfaction. You cannot do stter than to sow the Crimson Giant several times next season at intervals of about three weeks, so as to have a con- tinual supply during the spring and early summer. See that you get the true Crimson Giant. Sold by us only in sealed packages. None other is genuine. Price. 10 cents a packet; *4 lb.,40 cents: 1 lb. illy's Earliest of All RADISH Lilly's Earliest of All. A splendid strain, very early, small, round, bright red radish, with white tip. '•Earliest of All" will mature radishes for the table in less than 20 days after sowing the seed. You will find this radish crisp, tender, solid and delicately mild in flavor.
