Application for the D.M.D. degree, on a form provided by theDeans Office, must be filed at that office prior to April 1 in order for 24 DENTAL MEDICINE the students name to be placed on the list of degree candidates atCommencement. Dormitory Vanderbilt Halls, the student dormitory, has accommodations for305 men and 20 women medical and dental students. The majority ofthe rooms are designed for one occupant, but there are also a numberof suites for two or more persons. The price of rooms ranges from$250 to $505 for the academic year. Application forms for rooms inVanderbilt Halls will be sent to all new students approximately fourmonths before registration day. Students are permitted to re-engagetheir rooms for the following year by signing lease cards at the Medi-cal School Deans Office. The dormitory has squash courts and agymnasium which are open to members of the teaching staff and INDIVIDUAL INSTRUCTION

The Schools own a parking lot for automobiles behind the hall.No charge is made for this facility, and the Schools assume noresponsibility for loss or damage to automobiles or other propertyleft in the lot. The dormitory dining hall is open for all members of the Schools.First and second year students living in Vanderbilt Halls will be re-quired to pay full board for 21 meals a week throughout the academicyear ($620). Apartments for married students may be found close to the School. Student Health Service The Harvard Medical Area Health Service at the Peter Bent Brig-ham Hospital, 721 Huntington Avenue, supplies medical care to thestudents. The clinic is open daily except Saturday afternoons, Sundaysand holidays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; office hours for the physi-cians are 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. However, one
