Framingham, Mass.
Jan. 24, 1888
Dear Miss Longfellow,
Many thanks for your good letter and very kind invitation which came not long ago.
Our school closed last Wednesday and I enjoyed the graduating exercises very much. All the young ladies have left for their vacation but four and our family has been reduced to only seven with Miss Hyde and [p. 2] Miss Beach. But we are enjoying our quiet vacation very much. We have had mending bees with Miss Hyde in her cozy little parlor, so we shall be already for our hard work, next term and spend all the time for our lessons.
Received a letter from Miss Folsome the other day, from Washington and will probably be in Boston before very long as she is going to have a little vacation from her work in Hampton.
I wrote to Walter about [p. 3] your plan. (I believe the Bridgewater formal School closes this week Wednesday.)
With love and gratitude,
I remain yours,
Annie Dawson.
