L'église Saint-François-de-Sales. Eglise baroque du XVII ème siècle qui eut un temps la sépulture de Saint François-de-Sales. Saint François-de-Sales fut une des figures les plus marquantes de la Contre-Réforme. Ordonné prêtre en pleine guerre religieuse il est confronté à des églises vides. Pour regagner les âmes du Chablais (Sud-est du lac de Genève), il glisse de longues lettres sous les portes et placardes ces mêmes lettres sur les murs (www.herodote.net/Francois_de_Sales_1567_1622_-synthese-40...). |
