The quinine-content of the blood of the various casessubjected to precisely similar medication shows very great individualdifferences. Compare in Group A, Case 5, with r6, 20, ro and44 mgms. quinine per litre in the successive samples of blood, andCase 8, with i66 mgms. quinine per litre in each sample, even thevery first. The various cases differ greatly, not only in the maximalconcentrations attained but also in the rapidity with which themaximum is reached. Further, as has already been pointed out,most of them have less quinine in the third sample than in the first. These differences in the amount of quinine in the blood aredoubtless accompanied by (more or less proportional ?) differencesin the concentration of the quinine in the tissues.
