Xea and Dyspepsia. WE have already written many times on this subject, butmust do so again, because we are really appalled to seehow much dyspepsia is caused by the pernicious habitof tea-drinking. Daily, almost, do we encounter human vol-canoes, in a state of gaseous eruption, annoying to themselvesand distressing to their companions. Repeatedly does inquiryelicit the reply that these human balloons drink tea. Firmlyhave we become convinced that tea is a poison, and that it is oneof the most prolific causes of windy indigestion. The Annals of Hygiene—767 Proposed Amendments to tlie Buffalo (Blew Vork) MENDMENT to Section 26, Chapter XXV, by adding,— J^^^ It shall be the duty of the Overseer of the Poor to furnish, free of charge, to the needy and worthy sickpoor, such quantity of ice and at such periods as may be re-quested in writing by the various city physicians under his direc-tion and approved by the Health Commissioner.
