Description
Español: Ella Claire Carey nació en Puerto Argentino y era hija de Charles Carey y Helen Rudd.

Ella recordaba de Malvinas que el clima era muy frío. El padre murió antes de que ella viniera, había sido jefe de Policía, y una hermana, Maud Carey, principal del correo. Aquí en el territorio estaba una hermana de Ella, Ann Carey, que se había casado en Malvinas con Peter Smith (Peter y sus hermanos, John y William Smith, que también vinieron de Malvinas, poblaron la estancia “Coy Inlet” en Puerto Coyle).

En 1895 murió Peter Smith y en 1901, Ann Carey se casó con Robert White y fueron testigos de la boda Víctor Fenton y George Wibbey.
