English: Anioma is an Igbiod sub group and the most populous in Delta state with 9 LGAs.
"A N I O M A" acronyms A=Aniocha 2LGA (Isele-Uku and Okwashi-Uku) N=Ndokwa, 3LGA Ndokwa East/West and Ukwani (Aboh, Kwale and Obiaruku) I=Ika (Agbor, Owa-Oyibo and Umunede) O=Oshimili (Asaba and Akuku-Igbo) ...and the M A added to beautiful and give complete igbiod meaning to the term "ANIOMA" as we have today. The acronym "ANIOMA" was carved from the various igbiod sub groups of the Igbo Deltans, and means "good land" in central Igbo.
