English: Example for constantly growing Angular Velocity
All carriages of the rollercoaster move with the same magnitude of velocity. If the vertical component is neglected we can split the velocity vector into a tangential and radial component. The tangential component can be interpreted as Angular Velocity. The picture was taken with a strong telephoto lens and a speed of 1/250 sec. The front of the first carriage is sharp. This is because here the tangential component is close to 0 and the radial movement is covered by the depth of sharpness. The velocity vector of the following carriages has a growing tangential component due to the curved movement path, the Angular Velocity is increasing. Due to this the picture of carriages and persons loose constantly sharpness. The full sharpness of the railing proofs that the picture itself is completely sharp.
