Anglo-Saxon copper alloy side knop from a cruciform brooch
Description
English: A copper alloy knop from an Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch. The knop is half-rounded, hollow and has a domed head connected to a reeled base by a narrowed and concave collar. The base is decorated with a ladder-like rib. The underside of the base has a small hole in it for attachment to the headplate.
