Anglo-Saxon copper alloy cruciform brooch fragment
Description
English: Anglo-Saxon copper alloy brooch fragment, 14mm long, 13mm wide and 8mm thick. The fragment is in fair condition, although showing signs of being burnt, has a green patina and weighs 2.66 grams. It represents part of the foot of a probable cruciform brooch and is roughly rectangular in form with three raised ridges, 1mm wide and 2mm apart, running across its surface. The reverse has the remains of a catchplate, 10mm long, 2mm wide and 3mm deep.
