Title
Anglo-Saxon copper alloy cruciform brooch
Description
English: An Anglo-Saxon copper alloy cruciform brooch. The brooch has a rectangular headplate comprising a flat square central panel with a rectangular wing to either side. The wings are stepping backwards from the central panel and are decorated with a pair of vertically incised lines. The top and bottom edge of each wing contains a small V-shaped notch. A small knop sits on the top of the headplate. The bow is arched, faceted and is concave on the reverse. There is a ribbed and faceted panel below the bow, leading into a zoomorphic terminal.
