L'Hôpital Saint-Jean. Sur la gauche, les greniers de l’hôpital Saint-Jean. L’imposant bâtiment qui s'ouvre sur la place du Tertre-Saint-Laurent est construit après 1188. Sur la droite, la Porte du Présidial (tribunal). Le présidial d’Angers est la plus importante des institutions judiciaires de la province d’Anjou. Créé en 1552 par Henri II (Plantagenêt), il a très vite attiré en son sein les membres des grandes familles angevines. Cette porte a constitué la façade sud du tribunal de Commerce rue Saint Michel (rue Pocquet-de-Livonnière), elle à été remontée ici.

The presidial Angers is the most important judicial institutions of the province of Anjou. Founded in 1552 by Henry II (Plantagenet), it quickly attracted therein members of large families Anjou. This gate was the south facade of the Commercial Court rue Saint Michel (Pocquet rue de Livonnière), it has been rising here. |
