Description

Le château.

Les deux tours de la Porte des Champs (milieu du XIIIe siècle).

Le parement extérieur est couvert de tuffeau sur les deux tiers de la hauteur. Le dernier tiers alterne tuffeau et schiste.

La défense de cette porte se faisait par des archères disposées en quinconce.

Certaines archères seront transformées en canonnières.

Au XVIIe ou XVIIIe siècle, deux de ces canonnières furent habillées de petits balcons semi-circulaires à encorbellements. Ces balcons portaient de petites tourelles ou échauguettes en bois aujourd'hui détruites.

The siding is covered with limestone on two thirds of the height. The last third alternate limestone and shale.

The defense of this door was by archers staggered.

Some archers will be transformed into holes for cannon.

In the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, two of these opening cannon were dressed small semi-circular corbelled balconies. These balconies were small towers or bartizans wood now destroyed.
