Español: Este vigilante quedo en mi retina hace algún tiempo, en 2008 decidí volver a Comillas y tomar esta imagen que hoy muestro aquí.
El ángel exterminador, también conocido como ángel guardián, es una escultura de Josep Llimona de estilo modernista, del año 1895. Se alza en un cementerio que se construyó sobre los restos de una antigua iglesia del siglo XV en Comillas, municipio de Cantabria (España). Según reza la inscripción al pie de la estatua , este ángel fue en principio el que iba a formar parte del mausoleo del hijo primogénito del primer Marqués de Comillas, pero Don Antonio López López lo donó al pueblo de Comillas a petición de su hijo, este, le pidió a su padre que cuidase en vez de su tumba, la de todo el cementerio de Comillas. |
