Description
Svenska: Professor Andreas Lindblom till vänster visar Démétre Loukatos en rustning som tillhört Sigismund II av Polen och Johan III.
Gustav Vasa introducerades högtidligen för de 250 deltagarna i den första internationella kongressen för folklivsforskare efter kriget, då professor Andreas Lindblom hälsade välkommen i Nordiska museets stora sal vid det informella öppnandet på söndagen. Milles bistra kolossalstaty i ek såg nästan ut att vilja dra på munnen, då Salvador de Madariaga, president i International Commission on Folk Arts and Folklore, i ett svarstal förklarade att "varje människa absolut borde vara etnolog" – och i varje fall skrattade den samlade expertisen hjärtligt.
